Greetings from the Center on Disabilities at California State University, Northridge!

We hope you are enjoying the year as we start to say good-bye to 2009. It's hard to believe that the holidays are here and the New Year is just around the corner. Before we all get too busy, we thought you might like to catch up on what's with the 2010 CSUN Conference plans.

Speaker Registration

We want to thank all of you who took the time to submit a proposal to present at this year's conference.

Speaker acceptance notices and session schedules have been sent and Speaker Registration is open. Please confirm your participation by registering early for our attendees' convenience. Your support in this request will help us provide the most up-to-date information on our web site and in the Conference Program.

Attendee Registration

Conference registration for attendees will open on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Register early to receive your early bird discount fee! Visit the Registration Information and Program Overview pages for details about registration and the conference.

Please be sure to check the Venue page for information on room reservations at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, tips about traveling and transportation to San Diego and other highlights regarding our new location.

Pre-Conference Workshops and General Sessions

Our impressive roster of experts who will be presenting in-depth information on the latest issues and future trends in the areas of disabilities and technology has been posted on the conference web site.

The 2010 Pre-Conference Workshops are again, impressive and informative offerings that will give you a reason to attend early and learn more at the conference. The CSUN Conference will, once again, be offering over 300 general sessions. We invite you to review the selections on the web site and sign up as soon as possible as seating is limited.

Keynote Address

Please mark your calendars for this year's Keynote Address at the Conference which will be held March 23, Tuesday evening, at 5:30 pm. Dr. Harry Murphy, founder of the Center on Disabilities and the CSUN Conference, will host the Tuesday evening event in honor of our 25th anniversary. A Reception will follow the Keynote Address.

We are pleased to introduce Captain Ivan Castro as our Keynote Speaker for the 25th Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference. Captain Castro is one of three blind officers serving in the active-duty Army and the only blind officer serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces. Captain Castro's mission is pushing the limits, maintaining independence and advocating for the blind. Please join us on Tuesday, March 23 at 5:30 pm when Captain Castro opens the 25th Annual Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference with his inspiring and amazing Keynote Address.

Exhibit Hall Opening

Join us on Wednesday, March 24 when we open the door to the Exhibit Hall! With so many innovative products and services on display, you'll want to get your preview at the opening from 4:00-7:00 pm. We invite you to review the list of exhibitors on the conference web site to prepare your schedule and organize your time. The Exhibit Hall will be located in the Douglas Pavilion on the lobby level of the hotel.
